Kinder-Puppy Training
When our puppies reach 10-12 weeks of age we start them in what we call Kinder-Puppy Training. This includes introducing the puppy to the leash and collar, simple obedience commands such as NO and SIT. During this time we start to teach them to not jump up, bark or nip.
We also start their kennel or crate training with having them spend the night in the crate and being taken out immediately upon their waking up. This begins the habit of eliminating outside and greatly assists in the house training process.
Because of the young age of the puppy this phase of training is done without severe discipline … we are merely laying the groundwork for the completion of their Obedience Training in the months and years to come.
